Our business
NJF History
2008-2012
Foundations in Retail
NJF Projects was founded in 2008, initially providing maintenance services to Jack Wills. Our relationship quickly evolved as we became their trusted store fitter, delivering high-quality interiors that stood out across the retail sector. Our fourth and fifth projects for the brand received Store of Excellence Awards and were featured in national publications — a defining moment that established our reputation for craftsmanship and reliability within the industry.
2011–2015
Building Our Manufacturing Capability
In 2011, we took a bold step by investing in our own joinery manufacturing facility. With a fully equipped workshop and a dedicated team of six, we gained complete control over quality and delivery timelines. This strategic move allowed us to begin supplying bespoke joinery to premium brands like M&S, True Religion, and The White Company, expanding our reputation beyond fit-outs and into specialist manufacturing for the UK’s leading retailers.
2016–2017
Scaling Across Europe & Luxury Retail
By 2016, our name was synonymous with high-end retail interiors. We delivered store rollouts for Ted Baker across Europe and were appointed main contractor at Bicester Village, one of the UK’s most prestigious retail destinations. These projects showcased our ability to manage complex programmes across multiple regions, combining detailed craftsmanship with the logistical rigour of large-scale commercial delivery.
2018–Present
Diversification & Resilience
As the retail landscape shifted in 2018, we adapted by expanding into commercial office fit-outs, residential refurbishments, and public sector works. By 2020, we were actively delivering projects for local authorities, bringing our design-led, quality-first approach to a broader client base. Today, NJF Projects continues to evolve — combining joinery heritage, project management expertise, and a multi-sector portfolio across the UK and Ireland.
